Analysis & Testing![]() Simulation and design analysisFor more than 20 years we have developed computer models for reliable simulation and analysis of onshore and offshore wind turbines. Our software tools are recognised as world leading and have become industry standards.Building on the experience gained in the wind industry, we offer a comprehensive service of performance, dynamic behaviour and load calculations to developers of marine energy devices. For the design analysis of tidal current turbines, we use GH Tidal Bladed, the sophisticated design tool developed and validated through a DTI funded research programme. Testing and data acquisitionGarrad Hassan has more than 20 years experience of full scale testing, both onshore and offshore. Our testing activities are based on the use of GH T-MON, an integrated signal conditioning and data acquisition system. We specify the measurement system and test programme, supply, install and calibrate the instrumentation and the GH T-MON data acquisition system, and perform data collection, analysis and reporting for “proof of concept” and design verification purposes. |
