Scope
For wind turbines, a thorough visual inspection of components will aim to identify condition, functionality, safety and structural integrity. This must be complemented by a review of :
• Commissioning records
• Service records
• Documentation of retrofits and repairs
• SCADA data
• Reports of previous inspections and non destructive tests
In addition to the above, further non-destructive test services can be provided, including:
• Vibration monitoring
• Blade ultrasonic
• Bolt / stud pre-load
• Weld crack ultrasonic / dye pen testing
• Oil (gearbox, transformer, generator bearings) and grease testing
• Gearbox boroscopic inspection
• Thermographic imaging
