We never take an equity share in any development or technology so that our clients are guaranteed to receive an objective service of the highest quality.

Formed in the UK in 1984, to meet the growing demand for independent consultancy services in the wind energy sector, we are widely recognised as the leading authority on the subject. We are now applying our depth of knowledge and expertise to support the development of the solar and marine markets too. We have offices across the world so that we can understand and deliver to local markets while informing and retaining a global perspective.

Wind

Garrad Hassan has been at the forefront of the wind energy sector for two decades and we have advised on more wind farm development than any other company in the world. Our global client list includes nearly every major wind turbine manufacturer, developer, bank and lender.

Onshore and offshore

As well as a full range of onshore products and services, we have been providing support for offshore wind farms for 20 years. We have a highly experienced, dedicated offshore team who provide specialist development and analysis services and, with recent advances in the sector, are participating in some key commercial projects.

Marine

With 20 years experience in the offshore market, Garrad Hassan is well placed to support the development of marine renewable projects. Although the sector is still in its relative infancy, we are already working with some key commercial organisations, and the public sector, at the forefront of developments. We have completed various research projects and have worked with the key marine device developers on conceptual and prototype designs and already offer specialist software. We are also active in some key collaborative projects. Internally, we have a dedicated team and significant funding for ongoing R&D efforts.

Wave and Tidal

We are involved in both the wave energy and tidal energy markets and offer a range of services to both.

SOLAR

Garrad Hassan has now adapted its technical expertise to offer services to the solar energy markets. Many of our solar clients are wind energy clients who have wanted the security of a worldwide company with a strong reputation as they broaden their renewable energy activities. We currently offer a range of services to investors in and owners and developers of solar power plants.
